A positive affirmation is defined as a positive statement or declaration of the truth or existence of something. So, in essence, when you affirm something you are declaring it to yourself. And, that’s just fine and dandy, however, there’s just one tiny problem with that hypothesis; we are often disingenuous and, yes, even untruthful with ourselves. As an example, you can affirm your intention to quit smoking, stop drinking or lose weight, but if you don’t take the necessary action to change your mindset and your reality, it will become a meaningless utterance in the wind. Consequently, the key is action! At the end of the day, nothing will change your mindset and enhance your manifesting energy quicker than action. This is simply because action is believable and it creates change! Now, there are several components involved when addressing habitual behavior, but ultimately even they require action. To liberate your self from toxic and dysfunctional behavior takes action. To forgive others and yourself takes action. To take back your personal power requires action. And, to uncover and follow your true divine purpose requires action.
OK! So, the question is; how do you arrive at the action part of the process? Well, if you’re ready to take that leap towards addiction freedom then begin liberating and empowering yourself. But, let’s say your close, but you’re not quite ready to strap your cape on and dawn your tights just yet. Maybe you need a little push or a jumpstart. Well, I’ve got just the thing for you. It’s called a proclamation! Proclamation is defined as the act of announcing something publicly or formally. You see, announcing something publically to others is a whole different ballgame than affirming it to yourself. Bottom line, it’s a lot harder to squirm out of a commitment when you shout it from the rooftop, isn’t it? So, make the decision to go for it, proclaim it to everyone from the highest rooftop, and begin taking the action required to make it happen.
